It was another fine day for Heather Fedbetter. She lived on a farm full of sun-shining weather. She had lived her whole life in this beautiful place, but she had friends who lived in a much smaller space. They fed hormones and drugs to the hens she adored, just to make the chickens bigger and lay their eggs more.
For Heather, Egg Innovations was a wonderful home; It was a beautiful farm, with freedom to roam. Mrs. Farmer, the caretaker, was gentle and kind always keeping her chickens' best interest in mind. Their feed each day was all natural and pure, so, naturally their eggs would be healthy, for sure!
But one sunny day, Heather started to cry, while Mrs. Farmer was busy teaching chickens to fly "Never give up," Mrs. Farmer would spout with a grin, "One day I'll have a prize-winning flying hen." Heather strutted herself straight up to the farmer, flapping her wings in hopes to alarm her "What is it, my fine chicken Heather Fedbetter? Oh, dear, I do hope that nothing's upset her."
Mrs. Farmer inquired in a most concerned voice and Heather spoke out (for she had no other choice) Heather Fedbetter ruffled her pretty, red feathers, "I'm worried for my old friends," sobbed a tearful Heather. "They're plump, I'm sure, but forcefully fed, and loaded with drugs," sweet Heather said. "They need much better feed and more space to roam. All chickens deserve a loving, natural home!"
So she clucked up a ruckus at Egg Innovations hoping to stir up the entire chicken nation Mrs. Farmer and Heather rallied the hens and they flurried and scurried to save their old friends In a flash they paraded, all clucking quite loud as they entered the gates of their new home, so proud.
Mrs. Farmer was beaming to see the hens all together. And none was more happy than Heather Fedbetter. All safe and healthy at the farm, Egg Innovations, the chickens danced round in a great celebration!
The end.
