Company History
- 1917
- Homestead purchased by Herbert Brunnquell near Port Washington, Wisconsin. The office still resides on the homestead.
- 1967
- Paul Brunnquell puts up the first chicken house and egg production is added to the dairy farm.
- 1987
- John Brunnquell begins marketing cholesterol monitored eggs under the family farm name, "Century Acres." This marks the Brunnquell family entry into specialty eggs.
- 1994
- First franchise for reduced cholesterol eggs sold.
- 1996
- Patents awarded to UW-Madison for John's research. Trademark was awarded for "Eggstasy" reduced cholesterol eggs.
- Family of products was expanded to also include Cage Free, Organic, and Vegetarian eggs.
- 1998
- Company changed its name to Egg Innovations to more clearly focus on specialty egg marketing.
- 2000
- Company built new offices on the homestead.
- Purchased farm in Indiana to expand production.
- Began contract with Mennonite family farms in Ohio to support family agriculture.
- 2002
- All egg grading moved to Indiana.
- Company has all organic eggs certified by USDA to assure authenticity.
- 2003
- Publishes Company Core Values of:
- Family Farms not Factory Farms
- No Cages
- No Drugs, Hormones or Antibiotics
